Presenting a collection of 14 artworks portraying contemporary figures who are inspirational to the artist through their talent, personality, or beauty, all seen through the prism of his own imagination.
Each artwork is inspired by photographs found online or the ICONS social media profiles. This gesture is an invitation to envision the union of the modern and less soulful imagery of today’s media with a more classic and humble world of expression. It is a way of erasing the delineation between past and present by creating something new that recognises all forms of expression as valuable, regardless of the time in which they were created.
The concept is built around the intimate relationship between fashion and art, integrating the modern influence of social media with a more traditional expression of art. This aesthetic offers a perspective to experience the artist’s chosen figures as “The Script and the Cast – ICONS” a hint toward the cinematic.
